TEXT: 1 Timothy 6:6-8
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:36

Self control is golden when placed side by side with desperation. Self control earns reputation for an individual. In the things of God, one is expected to exercise a decorum and be contented with what he or she has. Everything a man has is given to him by God. God blesses a man at His own time not based on the person's desperation. It is therefore advisable that a man in need of something should commit it into the hand of God, continue to do the work of God and let God have His way. By being desperate to have something at all cost one tends to offend both God and man. We brought nothing into this world and we are going out with nothing, we should therefore be contented with what God has given us. In desperation, worry sets in and God has warned us not to worry about what we shall eat or put on that He will take care of our needs.

We should learn how to look unto God and depend on Him at all times while we play the role expected of us in His Vineyard and in our secular Work.

As you go out today in your work or business do your work the normal way but do not exhibit desperation but be contented with what God has given you and He will give you more in Jesus name.

* Pray that God help you exercise self-control.

* Pray that God guides you not to be desperate in the things of God.

If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).

If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,

kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.

Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?

Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)

Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce

(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?

Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.

If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:

Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.

Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.

I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.

I surrender my life to you.

Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
