THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: TUESDAY, 30TH JUNE 2015.
THEME: LET YOUR ENTHUSIASM LEAD YOU.

TEXT: Numbers 13:30
30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

MEMORY VERSE:
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

MESSAGE:
Interest and zeal are the factors that lead a mighty man into achieving great deeds. The moment an individual becomes interested in a particular project, the work is half done. When he goes into actual action the work is finished.
Whenever you are about embarking on any project, the best thing to do first is to develop enthusiasm and interest in the project. Then believe in yourself and your ability to carry out the project to a successful completion. In the text above, Caleb one of the spies that went to spy out Jericho saw the giant tribes of Anak but when he came back he told Moses and the congregation of the Israelites that they were well able to overcome the people and possess the land. He believed in himself and had faith that God who gave them the land must be with them, help them to possess the land. He was highly enthusiastic about going up at once to take over the land.
In the memory verse the Bible says, I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. If you are enthusiastic in any project, Christ will strengthen you. Do not fear any project, do not develop cold feet towards any ugly situation. The moment you show interest and go into action God will be with you and help you out to achieve success.

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
MONDAY, JUNE 29TH
THEME: DO NOT IMITATE, BE THE BEST OF YOURSELF
TEXT: Jeremiah 13:23
Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

MEMORY VERSE: Job 19:26
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

MESSAGE:
A Congolese proverb says, wood may remain ten years in the water, but it will never become a crocodile. This simply means that whatever you do to change anything created by God it will still remain on its original nature. Do not imitate anybody be what God has created you to be.
A middle aged woman had a heart attack in which she nearly died. In the curse of that she had encounter with God and God told her she would still live for 43 years two months and eight days. Upon recovering she decided to stay in the hospital and have a face lift, liposuction, tummy tuck. She even has someone come in and change her hair colour. She said since she had many years to live let her make good use of it. She was later discharged. However as she was crossing the street outside a speeding ambulance killed her. Again she had another encounter with God and she asked God why she died since God promised her she had over 40 years to live. God replied I did not recognize you again. It is better to remain the way God created you. Try your best to improve on the talents God has given you. It is through that you will become the best in that area. If you continue to imitate another person you can only be the second best because the original best is already there. The more you imitate the more you waste your original self. Be who God has created you to be and he will bless you by being original and being yourself.

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: SUNDAY, 28TH JUNE 2015.
THEME: YOUR CREATION IS FOR A PURPOSE.

TEXT: Genesis 41:38-40
38. And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
39. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:
40. Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

MEMORY VERSE:
So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled. 1 Samuel 17:50-51

MESSAGE:
I once watched a movie in which the lead character who saw himself a star foot-ball player made every effort within his powers to secure a club in Europe to play but he could not.
At this time all his colleagues he captained here in Nigeria were making waves in their various football clubs in Europe but he was here in Nigeria languishing in hunger. One day, he went into three days dry fasting and asked God to tell him the purpose of his creation. In the course of the prayer he fell asleep and an angel appeared in his dream and told him he was created with two talents. The first will make him popular before men but the second which is declaration of the word of reconciliation will make him popular before God.
As soon as he came back picked up his Bible and started the work of evangelism his ways opened. Favours were coming in Naira and Dollars.
In the text above, Joseph was created to save lives of the whole world from hunger in the period of famine while he was in Egypt. He interpreted Pharaoh's dream, took up the work and did it very well. In the memory verse David was created to lead Israelites to war and subdue their enemies. He did it very well. What is the purpose of your creation? You have to discover it and find a way of doing it well. It is through it that God will bless you.

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: SATURDAY, 27TH JUNE 2015.
THEME: BEWARE! GOD'S JUDGEMENT IS COMING!

TEXT: 2 Peter 2:9
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

MEMORY VERSE:
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Hebrews 9:27

MESSAGE:
Whatever seed one sows here on earth is waiting for one at the end of life. The Bible made us to understand that every action of man, every vain word spoken, every disobedience will be made open on the last day and punished accordingly. The days are numbered, the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, which of course is the rapture of the saints is at hand.
The signs of His coming are already with us. The trumpet will soon sound. When the trumpet sounds and the saints are raptured whoever remains here on earth will face the torments of anti-christ. Death will be taken away. Where will you belong? Will you be among the saints to be raptured or the people that will remain to face the torments of anti-christ? The choice is yours now.
It is advisable you judge yourself now so that you will not be judged. It is important you cover every loopholes in your life that will likely make you to miss the rapture of the saints.
Remember also that death can knock at anybody's door at any time. When death comes, the chance of repentance or amendments is taken away. You need to beware and careful of what you are doing. Now the time of grace is available we should straighten our relationship with God before it becomes too late.

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: FRIDAY, 26TH JUNE 2015.
THEME: ENDEAVOUR TO KEEP OPEN HANDS
TEXT: Hebrews 11:1-3
1 Let brotherly love continue.
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

MEMORY VERSE:
If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth. Deuteronomy 15:7-8

MESSAGE:
Givers never lack. He who keeps open hand will always have his hand full of good gifts. Our people say that a king that goes on a journey and his bag was filled with gifts received from the people he gave previously.
One of the qualifications of a church leader is that he will be able to welcome strangers to his house. Abraham entertained angels that were going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. It was after that entertainment that a promise of child was made to him and his wife Sarah. The Bible made us to understand that it is more blessed to give than to receive. When you welcome strangers and offer them hospitality there is greater blessing waiting for you.
As a Christian or a leader, it is important you plan for others who might be in need at one time or the other. Apart from accommodating and entertaining strangers you can help brethren who have no job by giving whatever you have to start selling even pure water. If you have the capacity to employ one or two you can do so. If you can give something to put a meal on the table of a needy family it is also good. As you do these God will bless you the more.

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: THURSDAY, 25TH JUNE 2015.
THEME: DO YOUR BEST TO PLEASE GOD.
TEXT: Matthew 19:16-17
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

MEMORY VERSE:
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2

MESSAGE:
The pragramme of God for man is that while living here on earth man will work to please God and go back to the creator. How have you please God?
In the text above, our Lord Jesus Christ told the rich young man who asked him what to do to inherit the kingdom of God to keep the commandment, and to use his wealth to take care of poor and then follow Christ for evangelism. The Bible made us to understand that there is jubilation in have for every sinner that repents. If you are able to win soul for the Kingdom of God, the host of angel in heaven will be jubilating for your actions. God will be pleased with you.
God will also be pleased with you if you are obedient to his words. you are commissioned to spread the gospel all over the world. You will please God if you continue to evangelise and bring people to the knowledge of God.
God will continue to bless you if you serve Him by keeping the commandments and winning souls for the kingdom.

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 24TH JUNE 2015.
THEME: NEVER SIT IN THE FENCE, BE BOLD IN DECISION MAKING.

TEXT: Joel 3:14
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
MEMORY VERSE:
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
MESSAGE:
Delay is dangerous whenever we are expected to take a decision and take action. Quick thinking, decision and action are very important as they save time and energy and help in many ways to reduce wastes.
Whenever you are confronted with any problem it is good to take decision. It is only when you take decision that God comes in to help you actualize the decision and action you have taken.
When you are at the valley of decision, you are on your own. One is judged by his actions, God also helps one based on decisions and actions taken.
When you have a project, pray over it, commit it into God's hand and take action. God has promised He is with us. He is with us when we are doing something not when nothing is going on.
So whenever you have prayed over something, take a decision and go go ahead AND God will be with you as you act.

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: TUESDAY, 23RD JUNE 2015.
THEME: EXPLOIT THE POWER OF TESTIMONY

TEXT: Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

MEMORY VERSE:
5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever. Psalm 93:5

MESSAGE:
There is one Igbo adage that says, if you praise and thank God for the good work he has done he will do more. This is Therefore a proof that the one already done is appreciated hence if more is done, there would be more appreciations.
The words of testimonies are meant to praise and thank God for the good work and also ask people who listened to the testimony to join and help in thanking God for the good work. It is against this back drop that Christians are always encouraged to share testimonies of acts of God with their fellow brethren in congregation. The devil is checkmated and equally put to shame through sharing of testimonies.
In the text above we are made to understand that devil is subdued through the word of our testimony. There are two advantages of testifying the acts of God publicly. It helps to move the hand of God for more beneficial actions and puts the devil to shame by telling him that his evil manipulations do not mean anything that God has continued to bless us.
It is therefore advisable to share every good acts of God in your life with the brethren in the congregation God will bless you the more as a result of it.

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: MONDAY, 22ND JUNE 2015.
THEME: YOU HAVE A MANDATE TO FULFILL
TEXT: Joshua 1:1-3
1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spoke unto Joshua the sun of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which is do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.

MEMORY VERSE:
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15

MESSAGE:
God has given every Christian the mandate to fulfill. It is the duty of every Christian to ensure that the God given assignment is fulfilled.
In the text above, Joshua was given the mandate of leading the Israelites into the Promised Land. He was to lead the people into the land and lead them to effectively occupy any place the sole of his feet should touched.
In the present dispensation, God has commissioned every Christian to preach the gospel and win souls for the kingdom of God. The preaching of the gospel is the assigned duty of every Christian and it must be fulfilled.
In our individual capacities, we are also mandated to raise families and continue in the procreation. As we raise a family we are expected to take proper care of the children we raise. Teach them the way of the Lord and make them understand and carry out the divine assignments according to the will of God.
Today do personal evaluation of how you are carrying out the mandate God has given you to fulfill and continue to do them. It is through these that God will continue to bless and favour you.

THEME: WINNING YOUR BATTLES THROUGH PRAISES
TEXT: 2 Chronicles 20:21-22
21 And when he has consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and they should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth fo ever.
22 And when they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushment against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
MEMORY VERSE:
One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. Psalm 145:4
MESSAGE:
The words of our praises go directly to God. When you offer praises it is received directly by God and praises move the hand of God to action.
In the text above we saw how King Jehoshaphat appointed singers to go and face combined army of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir. God put confusion in their camp and they fought themselves God fought for the Israelites while they were praising Him.
In one of our crusade in Kaduna, it was during praising and worshiping God that miracles started. One child who was born deaf and dumb from birth started hearing and talking.
When you have prayed and the problem remains resort to praising and worshipping God. When you do it several times and days God’s hand will be moved to attend to your needs. God answers to our petitions in many ways. If you devote time to praising God He will always attend to your needs.
